Biography

Michael Rowley serves on the Steering Committee for the OASIS Open CSA Member Section; his term extends to April 2009.

Michael Rowley works on standards in BEA’s office of the CTO.  He was heavily involved in the development of the Service  Component Architecture (SCA) 1.0 specifications prior to their submission to OASIS.  He was on 6 of the 7 SCA working groups, was chair of one group and was an editor on one of the specifications.  He has also worked on the Service Data Objects (SDO) specification.  Prior to working in the office of the CTO, he worked in BEA product development as an architect on WebLogic Integration, AquaLogic Service Bus and WebLogic Server.

Prior to working at BEA, Michael Rowley got his Ph.D. from UCLA in the area of object-oriented databases and later worked on database and business process management software at Object Design, Inc.
